Really disappointed in $600 stock purchase. I expected way more. Not recommended to buy, unless you plan to upgrade it.
The CA M249 MKII has so far been the biggest airsoft gun purchase for me. I received the gun relatively quickly after purchasing it online, and let me tell you, I was pumped to receive this gun. When I opened the package I was thrilled to see and hold this dope gun. It's heavy for an airsoft gun, easily weighing around 15 lbs, and that's without a full magazine, battery or attachments. Honestly guys, if your looking for a gun with a real feel, this gun is awesome.
...BUT...
The reason why I gave this gun a bad rating is because the performance of the gun was severely lacking. I've watched videos of the CA and A&K M249 MKIIs performance, with an impressive fps ranging between 380-400 fps, a range of 150-200 ft, and impressive rates of fire of 800-1000 rounds per minute. I understand there were no specs for this gun when I purchased it, but what the heck! Shouldn't it be pretty close to the videos or other website specs (most of the LMG's in the videos were stock with 9.6 or 11 volt batteries). The rate of fire of the gun did not disappoint me, but with 0.2 gram bbs the range was a pathetic 50 ft (maybe 75ft). It was worse with 0.25 (20 feet maybe). I maxed the hop up but with no avail. The fuse was broken when I received the gun, and it would've been nice to know that it used Large battery rather than the standard mini. FPS and Rate of Fire was good, but the range honestly made me cry. I was tempted to return it, but I'm currently getting it fixed AND installing upgraded internals. Apparently there was a compression issue too.
Thumbs down.
