I bought this gun for the replica aspect. It is the U.S. Air Force version without the forward assist. Considered to be the pure version of the model. As a bonus to the replica aspect it shoots air-soft ammo. I was able to purchase a new Garand M1 authentic reproduction green sling which really highlights the replica feel of the gun. I am satisfied with this purchase.
