I've had a couple chances now to run the headsets with my team in a couple outdoor games so I will review there functionality. The amplification is absolutely wonderful, we can hear each other talking regularly with perfect clarity as well as every little noise the headsets pick up. The downside to this however is that all the noise picked up is played through the earphones giving it a surround sound effect, in other words you have no idea where the sound is coming from. You may be able to hear some enemy sneaking up on you but you will not know from which direction it is coming from. I can hear bbs being shot at me hitting the ground nearby or the cover I'm in but i cant tell by sound where exactly the bbs are landing so I cannot adjust my strategy to make up for it. I've also learned to tell what it sounds like when my helmet or a piece of my worn gear is hit but with the headset I don't know if its a bb hitting me or a part of my gear or if its hitting a stick on the ground 5 feet away. Next issue I've had is the microphone. For one of my teammates it seems to work fine, for another of my team mates it works intermittently, and for me it does not work at all. If it were just mine having an issue id say it was a manufacturer defect but as it is also my teammates having similar issues but intermittently I can only presume it is something wrong with the general product. Adding up all the good and bad qualities of this headset I got to reduce my rating to a 2 out of 5, and I cannot recommend it to anyone.
