    SV-98 sniper rifle was developed by IZHMASH (Izhevsk Machinebuilding Plant, now an integral part of the Kalashnikov group) during late 1990s, and put into production circa 2000. It is based on the 7.62mm Record-1 target rifle, originally built for 300-meter shooting matches. SV-98 was adopted by Russian military under GRAU index 6V10 (6В10 in Cyrillic), and is also widely used by various law enforcement agencies in Russia.

The internal barrel, measuring 530 mm in length and 6.03 mm in diameter, provides outstanding shooting precision. The VSR system, applied to the barrel and hop-up rubber, allows for the expansion and enhancement of the replica. The aluminum cylinder with dimensions of 24x195 mm and the metal trigger assembly with a 45-degree piston catch are exceptionally sturdy and reliable. The spring system is a full CM.707 one, that offer the option to use a tuning set for CM.707, providing about 499 FPS.

    Not to be overlooked is the adjustable hop-up system, enabling the trajectory adjustment of BBs, while the initial BB velocity of 400 fps guarantees effectiveness on the battlefield.
